Q. What happens after I send you an initial enquiry?

A. The first stage after this may be to meet to decide if we both wish to work together. This is a mutual opportunity to decide if we feel the counselling relationship could be beneficial for you as a client and is important to recognise that sometimes it doesn't 'feel' right for some reason. If this was the case we would explore our feelings and together decide on a way forward that felt best for you as a client.

After reading your initial enquiry or meeting you I may feel that my skills and style of counselling are not appropriate. If this was the case I would discuss this with you and try to find alternative services that would better suit your needs. Not all counselling is appropriate for all clients and it may be that certain clients would benefit more from other sources of support.
